The Dampier Mermaid Hotel is on the look out for a new Bar Manager. We are looking for a positive, upbeat role model for our team who enjoys working in an exciting fast paced environment. We have an incredibly supportive team already in place. We want you to be up front, leading the team, rallying the staff, setting the perfect atmosphere, getting the drinks flowing. The bar manager will promote and grow the business, and ensure that patrons are recieving excellent drinks, food and service. You will also manage inventory, plan and market promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses and create schedules. You will also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations. In order to succeed as a bar manager, you should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
